Blake Interior Finishing was hired to complete this full service Interior Remodel in the month of February 2022.

We started the project by removing the popcorn ceiling texture, which tested positive for asbestos, by our certified asbestos sub contractor. Once the ceiling was properly remediated, we then fixed the damaged drywall and skim coated the ceiling to a Smooth Wall Finish.

We removed all of the bedroom doors, bathroom doors, closet doors, base trim and window trim throughout the entire home. Everything was replaced with hand painted modern sleek looking trim and door casings.

This Interior remodel electrical work consisted of us removing all baseboard heaters and heater control switches in the home, installing a full sized HVAC system into the attic, as well as an newly installed updated Power panel, for the new HVAC system to connect to. All to ensure proper power consumption and safety.

Our electrical team then removed all outlets and wall switches throughout the entire home and replaced them with brand new receptacles and outlet covers. They also installed ceiling fans in the master bedroom and kitchen as well as an outdoor light onto the back patio for extra lighting onto the back porch.

Flooring throughout the living room, hallways, and bedrooms, that previously had carpet and linoleum flooring installed, was demoed, we then installed new waterproof vinyl wood plank flooring in its place.

We repaired drywall patch work from the baseboard heater and wall switch removal, as well as drywall patchwork in the living room, and master bedroom bathroom.

While we were onsite we located closet wall, and the a part of the garage wall that required MOLD remediation. We sprayed the walls with Killz primer, removed the molded sheetrock insulation, and replaced the insulation and sheetrock.

We reinstalled 5/8's drywall in garage (only fire taped), reinstalled 1/2 inch sheetrock in closet, drywall taping, drywall mudding, sanding, and texture matching, making ready for paint.

We painted the entire 950 SqFt home in the three bedrooms, living room, hallways, kitchen, and 2 bathrooms as well as all closets Gray. We provided 2 different colors for home, with us painting the ceiling white to match the new trim and doors.

We removed the kitchen window and replaced it with a double pane glass window instead of the original 1970's window and repaired the inside window sill from a bad tile job by installing wood trim onto the sill and fixing the sheetrock around the window's inner wall.

We then took to finishing the home up by installing new door casings, new doors, and new base trim, as well as new closet racks in bedroom 1.

How owner and renters were very happy with the end result.
